Hi!

My name is Aisha O'Brien and I'm the online organizer for Progressive Majority in Washington DC. Our organization is dedicated to getting more progressives elected to state and local governments, as well as making those legislatures more representative of the American population.

Our organization and Grassrooting Productions are launching a grassroots project that will bring the next generation of protest songs that will inspire and give hope. And we want your readers to be a part of that!

The project is called The Nation Sings: http://thenationsings.com.

We are asking people to submit songs, poems, beats, videos, animation, graphics, and anything else to bring awareness to the recall elections. Once it’s posted on our website, other users can browse and select content that they’d like to build on (if you’re familiar with HitRECord.org it’s very similar). The result will be one big multimedia masterpiece created by hundreds of artists!

We have six members of our Farm Team running in these elections fighting to save workers rights and put the power back with the people.

We would love for you to help us promote this project by blogging about our efforts or putting a link on your homepage to our website. If we can get a bunch of readers to participate in this awesome project, we can really make a difference in raising awareness of these recall elections and the labor fights across the country.

Let’s set up a time to talk and go over how we can help each other! Please feel free to call me at 202.248.5365.

Let’s unite our voices!
